Praveen solicitor to meet HSE's head of Savita inquest
The solicitor for Praveen Halappanavar will meet with the head of the HSE inquiry in to the cause of his wife's death today .
Savita Halappanavar died at Galway University Hospital on October 28 last year after suffering a miscarriage and contracting septicaemia.
An inquest into her death found that she died from medical misadventure.
Gerard O'Donnell, solicitor for Mr Halappanavar, will meet with Professor Sabaratnam Arulkumaran, the head of the HSE inquiry, this afternoon.
It is expected he will make detailed submissions based on evidence that emerged at last month's inquest into Savita's death.
Praveen has decided not to attend the meeting himself.
The inquest uncovered a litany of systems and communications failures and found that the medical team missed the early signs of blood poisoning that eventually killed the 31-year-old dentist.
The inquest also heard how her two requests for a termination were refused on the basis that Ireland 'was a Catholic country'.
The internal report into the death is expected to be published shortly.
