Body found outside Cork apartments that of man in his 60s

Gardaí in the Bridewell Garda Station in Cork investigating the discovery of the body of a man at City Garden Apartments, Northgate Street are appealling to the public for their assistance.

Following the completion of the post mortem by the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Bolster, Gardaí say the man was assaulted before his death.

The victim is described as being in his 60’s, of slight build, approximately 5’5’’ to 5’6’’ tall and with white/grey hair and moustache.

He was wearing a beige fleece top, black t- shirt and beige trousers.

Gardaí also wish to appeal to anyone who may have seen a man fitting this description in the North Main Street/ Bachelors Quay or City Garden Apartment areas between last Saturday May 11 and last night at 5.30pm.
