A 47-year-old man was cleared of involvement at a retrial in Belfast yesterday, with the judge challenging forensic evidence against him.

Sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkar were shot outside Massereene Army barracks in Antrim.

"Very churned up, very upset, my heart's pounding, my stomach's pounding, my head's pounding," said Azimkar's mother Geraldine Ferguson.

"And I just feel sad for Patrick and for Mark."
