A Cork charity has apologised after recruiting the public to help following the alleged robbery of a Spanish couple.

Penny Dinners has admitted it got the story wrong after issuing an appeal on Thursday on behalf of a young Spanish couple, who they believed had lost everything in a robbery while staying at a city hostel.
