Fine Gael is urging the Fianna Fáil leader Micháel Martin to come clean on how he would come up with a "fairer" way to slash €350m from the public pay bill.

It follows comments from the Fianna Fáil leader that he would substantially reduce public pay, but the Fine Gael Chairman Charlie Flanagan said he failed to say how he would do it.
