Three arrested in connection with 2011 killing in Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin have arrested three men in connection with the murder of Darren Cogan.
The 22-year-old was shot dead as he sat in a pub on Tyrconnell road in Inchicore just after midnight on June 25, 2011.
He was drinking with a friend when a lone gunman entered the bar and fired a number of shots.
Cogan was fatally wounded and his friend was also injured, but survived the attack.
The gunman then left the scene and fired several more shots back in the direction of the pub.
Two suspects were arrested in the Dublin area yesterday morning and a third man was arrested this morning.
The men, who are aged in their 20s and 30s, are being held at Kilmainham and Kevin Street Garda stations.
