Cat returns home after daring escape en route to the vet

A one-eyed cat made a surprise return home after escaping en route to the vet.
Ginger escaped from his cage as owner Jayne Middleton was taking him to Oak House Veterinary Centre in Nottingham, central England.
The 55-year-old thought she had lost her beloved pet after searching high and low for the missing feline, including an initial one-hour hunt in the snow and then two searches every day from when it went missing.
But the four-year-old feline surprised her worried owner when he returned to the house in Arnold, Nottinghamshire.
Veterinary nurse John Tuohy said: "It is very rare for a cat to make its way back after being so far away."
