Dublin City Council to stop cleaning streets where illegal dumping an issue
Dublin City Council is to use the tactic of withholding street cleaning services in areas where dumping waste is a problem.
They said cleaning up after residents in areas where illegal dumping is an issue is a waste of Council resources.
According to the Irish Times, waste being thrown into the street bagged and unbagged is a widespread problem, but it is worse in the North Inner City.
The City Council has identified an area from Gardiner Street to Croke Park where the problem is particularly acute.
