CAHWT: Property tax errors putting families under stress

The Campaign Against Household and Water Taxes are accusing the Government of putting families in an awkward position, because of an error in relation to the property tax letters.

The Campaign Against Household and Water Taxes are accusing the Government of putting families in an awkward position, because of an error in relation to the property tax letters.

Householders began receiving letters last week informing them of their liability to pay, but some of those were mistakenly sent to children instead of the named home owner.

The campaign argues that it puts the onus on children to inform Revenue that their parents are the property owners.
