Reilly orders HSE to keep newborns' blood samples

It has been reported the Health Minister has ordered the HSE not to destroy over one million blood samples taken from newborn babies here.

The heel-prick tests, taken from all babies born between 1984 and 2002, were due to be destroyed at the end of the month, due to data protection concerns.
