State owed €74m due to consultants' delay signing claims

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has stated today that €74m in State claims due for collection from private health insurers remain outstanding.

A new PAC report has found that the delay is as a result of medical consultants not signing off on claims in a timely fashion.
