Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney has said he is hopeful a deal on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy can be agreed by EU Ministers at a crunch meeting in Brussels today.

Around €50bn is distributed to European farmers under CAP every year, of which Irish farmers get around €1.5bn.
