It has emerged that a Cork man found dead in Mozambique was strangled during a suspected carjacking incident.

It has emerged that a Cork man found dead in Mozambique was strangled during a suspected carjacking incident.

The body of 33-year-old William Deasy was found on Sunday.

He had been working in Mozambique for the Clonmel-based Kentz Engineers & Contractors.

The Irish embassy in the capital Maputo are providing consular assistance to Mr Deasy's family.
