Council drink-driving proposal 'would bring us back to a much darker day'

A motion passed by Kerry County Council aimed at permitting people to drink and drive has been criticised today for dragging the country back to "darker days".

The motion was passed, with 12 councillors absent from the chamber and another seven abstaining from the vote.
