Drogheda schoolboy stabbing: Man charged with assault and producing knife

A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with the stabbing of a teenager in Drogheda, Co Louth earlier this week.
Jamie Gallagher, of no fixed abode, faces two charges - assault causing harm and producing a knife.
The court heard that the accused made no reply when charged.
Judge Flann Brennan remanded him in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court next Thursday.
The 16-year-old boy is in a serious condition in Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital following the attack, which happened on his way home from school on Wednesday.
