Bank of Ireland has paid its Public Interest Directors more than a half a million euro each since their appointment in 2009.

Joe Walsh and Tom Considine are facing some tough questioning this morning at the Oireachtas Finance Committee on a number of issues, including their role and the bank's decision to increase interest rates on its credit cards just days before Christmas.
