AIB 'considering mortgage write-offs'

AIB has said it is considering offering mortgage write-offs for some of its customers who are in severe difficulties with making their repayments.

Head of the bank's arrears unit Garry Stran said AIB would offer mortgage restructuring to customers who "work with them" and who find themselves in such circumstances.
