Neigbours give evidence in Toyosi murder trial

Neighbours in a West Dublin housing estate where 15 year-old schoolboy Toyosi Shittabey was stabbed to death, have begun giving evidence in the trial of a 26 year-old man accused of murder.

Michael Barry from Pigeon House in Ringsend in Dublin has pleaded not guilty to murdering the teenager two years ago, following a row with 'racist undertones'.

Witnesses have told the trial they heard racist shouts and screaming outside their homes.

One Tyrellstown neighbour described leaving her house and seeing a young black boy lying on the street, and white man with a knife in his hand.
