A Longford woman has today pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.

Tanya Mulryan of Foynes Court pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to having child pornography images printed on an A4 page at her home on February 6 and February 7, 2006.

The 30-year-old had initially pleaded not guilty, but changed her plea to guilty immediately before her trial was due to begin.

The trial was set to start on Monday but was adjourned after Mulryan asked to see her medical records.

After she changed her plea, the defence asked for sentencing to be put back until February.

Today, Judge Mary Ellen Ring ordered that Mulryan be registered as a sex offender and remanded her on continuing bail.
