Man dies in Kilmainham stabbing

Gardaí in Kilmainham are investigating a serious stabbing incident on this morning on St Anthony's Rd outside Herberton Apartments in Rialto in Dublin 8.

The incident occurred at around 5.30am when an altercation between a number of males resulted in two men receiving stab injuries.

Both were taken to St James Hospital where one was in a critical condition. He was later pronounced dead. The other is serious but stable condition.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination. No arrest have been made yet and investigations are ongoing.
