Gardaí in Dublin are asking for the public's help in identifying the body of a man found on a beach in the city on Wednesday.

Gardaí in Dublin are asking for the public's help in identifying the body of a man found on a beach in the city on Wednesday.

The remains of the man, who is thought to be aged between 20 and 30, were recovered from the sea by the Coast Guard off Dollymount beach at lunchtime.

The man is described as being 6 foot 1 in height, of average build, with short dark hair, hazel eyes, short bushy eyebrows and an overall well-groomed appearance.

Anyone who may have information on the dead man is asked to contact the gardaí at 01 6664300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
