Kenny considers expanding role of public interest directors

The Taoiseach says he is considering expanding the role of the public interest directors in Irish banks after revelations about the lavish pension payments to ex-bankers.

The government says it cannot unpick the contracts of former bankers who are collecting pensions of half a million euro.
