Phelan search suspended for night

A search of the River Barrow in Co Kildare for missing Co Laois woman Aoife Phelan has been suspended for the night.

Two garda boats - deployed today along a stretch of the water near Monasterevin - will resume operations tomorrow morning.

A 24 year old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of the childminder's murder is still being questioned this evening.
