Nine charged with drugs offences in Cavan and Monaghan

Nine people are due before Virginia District Court in Cavan tomorrow morning, charged in relation to a drugs seizure earlier today.

Three women and six men, aged from their mid-twenties to forties, were arrested today after the Gardaí discovered a considerable amount of cash and controlled drugs.

The find was part of a Garda operation to clamp down on ecstasy and other drugs in the Cavan and Monaghan area.

The nine are currently being held at various Garda stations across the two counties, under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
