Visitors urged away from vomiting-bug-hit Beaumont

Beaumont Hospital in Dublin is urging visitors to stay away this weekend in a bid to curb an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

There has been a 30% increase in the amount of people presenting themselves at the hospital's A&E department with the bug.

Only one visitor is allowed per patient.

The hospital is asking the public to keep children away in all circumstances.
