Minister: We will deliver on Children's Hospital

Children's Minister Frances Fitzgerald said today that the new Children's Hospital will now be delivered after a lot of talk for years.

The Taoiseach, Tánaiste and Health Minister have already met to review an expert report into the possible sites.

Minister James Reilly will talk to Cabinet next Wednesday or the following Tuesday for approval of the site.

"A decision will be taken in the next two weeks in relation to the Children's Hospital," she said.

"The right decision will be taken, because we have to provide a state-of-the-art children's hospital and we're committed to doing that and the funding is ring-fenced for it.

"There's been a lot of talk about it for a lot of years, but like the Children's Referendum, we're actually delivering and we will deliver on it."
