Rabbitte confident no-one left in the dark over Saorview switch
The Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte says he is reasonably confident that no-one in the country is still in the dark about the digital switchover.
However, thousands of people are still expected to be left without a signal 24 hours from now, when the older analogue system is shut down.
Electrical retailers says they have had a surge in sales of Saorview-ready tv's in recent days.
Minister Rabbitte himself will make the first address on Ireland's digital-only broadcasting system tomorrow.
This morning, he expressed his thanks to groups which have helped spread the word across the country, but he's prepared for some hitches along the way.
