Gardaí appeal for information in fatal Tipperary shooting case
An investigation is underway after a man was shot dead in County Tipperary this morning.
Gardaí said the incident happened at a house in the village of Golden, near Cashel at 6.45am.
A man in his 30's was wounded in the incident, and was rushed to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel for treatment to his injuries.
However he later lost his fight for life.
The scene of the shooting has been preserved for a technical examination, and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardaí said there have been no arrests in the investigation so far.
They have issued an appeal for information, and anyone who can help is being asked to contact Gardaí in Tipperary town.
