The body of a man has been recovered from the River Shannon.

The body of a man has been recovered from the River Shannon.

The man, whose believed to be in his late 30s, entered the water at Arthur's Quay in Limerick city at around 5.30am this morning.

Gardaí, fire crews, and the Limerick Marine Search and Rescue Service, responded to the incident.

The man's body was recovered at around 8am this morning, near to where he was seen entering the river.
