Google apologise for lunchtime outage

Google Ireland has apologised to users after an earlier outage.

A spokesperson for the company said it was aware that some people were having difficulties accessing the Irish site, and it was working to fix the problem.

It went on to apologise to those experiencing issues.

The search giant had been down since about lunchtime.
