Cork Airport announces 32 job losses

Up to 32 jobs are to go at Cork Airport in an effort to reduce operating costs and reverse significant ongoing losses, according to the airport.
The job cuts will be voluntary and other cost-cutting measures include a full review of existing structures, rosters and staffing levels.
Cork Airport Director Niall McCarthy said the move is necessary as the airport has been suffering since the economic downturn with passanger numbers falling over the last three years.
