150,000 yet to make TV switch

The Minister for Communications Pat Rabbitte has revealed that between August and September, 50,000 viewers who are reliant on the analogue TV network made the switch to digital television.
That means approximately 150,000 people have yet to make the switch, before the analogue signal is switched off on October 24.
Along with other European countries, Ireland is moving from analogue to digital television this year.
Households that use aerials to receive the terrestrial channels will need a Saorview set-top box or a Saorview television to receive RTÉ, TG4 and TV3.
