Three quizzed in connection with €1.5m cannabis seizure in Cork

Gardaí in Cork are continuing to question three men in connection with the seizure of more than €1.5m worth of cannabis.

The discovery was made by gardaí yesterday when they stopped and searched a car on the Boreenamanna Road and in a follow-up search at a nearby house.

Two men, one in his 40s and one in his 50s, were arrested and are being held at the Bridewell garda station.

A third man in his 50s was arrested. He is being detained at Togher garda station.
