Adams in New York for Clinton event

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams is in New York today for a three-day event organised by Bill Clinton.

The Clinton Global Initiative - hosted by the former US President - is focusing this year on how to empower girls and women to be full participants in the economy.

It will be attended by over 1,000 people including heads of state and business leaders.

President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney are due to address the meeting on Tuesday.
