Facebook Ireland to publish data review

Facebook Ireland will publish the review report on its implementation of recommendations by the Data Protection Commissioner later today.

It follows an audit of the social network's website last December, which involved a comprehensive assessment of Facebook Ireland's compliance with Irish and EU law.

The audit was carried out because Facebook Ireland is responsible for all users outside the US and Canada.

Today's report will outline the progress the company has made in meeting the targets set out in that audit, in the first half of 2012.
