Man charged over Waterford drugs seizure

A man in his 30s has appeared before Waterford District Court this afternoon charged in relation to a drugs seizure in the city on Monday.

The 32 year old was charged with three counts of possession, and three counts of the sale and supply of drugs.

The man was arrested after synthetic, headshop-type drugs worth more than €800,000 were discovered at an apartment complex in Waterford city.

The seizure was a result of the controlled delivery of a parcel, which arrived into Cork airport from China.
