A 34-year-old man is due to appear at Dundalk District Court around now, charged in connection with the murder of Jacqueline McDonagh.

The mother of three was found dead in her rented home at College Manor in Dundalk last Wednesday morning.

A post mortem revealed she had been beaten to death.

On Thursday evening, a 34-year-old man was arrested after he presented himself at Store Street garda station in Dublin.

He is appearing in Dundalk District Court this afternoon.
