Murder investigation launched into death of Wexford man

A murder investigation has been launched after an elderly man was found dead in Co Wexford on Sunday.

A post mortem revealed 84-year-old Walter Plunkett died from asphyxiation.

He was found dead in the garden of his home in Ballyedmond, Co Wexford shortly before 5pm on Sunday evening.

A 50-year-old woman is being questioned by Gardaí at Enniscorthy in connection with the death.
