Motorists hitting Bank Holiday traffic today are being reminded that seven new penalty point offences have come into force this weekend, mostly to do with seatbelts.

Motorists hitting Bank Holiday traffic today are being reminded that seven new penalty point offences have come into force this weekend, mostly to do with seatbelts.

Drivers will be penalised for allowing passengers under 17 years of age to travel without a seatbelt, while children under and over three must be properly restrained, and must not be placed in a rear-facing seat in the front of a vehicle.
