European Commission provide €2.7m to help former Talk Talk workers
The European Commission has proposed to provide €2.7m to help 572 workers made redundant at Talk Talk in Waterford and three of their suppliers.
The money is to come from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund.
It is part of a €5.4m package aimed at helping workers upgrade their skills and find new jobs.
The proposal will now go to the European Parliament and the EU's Council of Ministers for their approval.
