Irish Examiner Food Festival kicks-off in Cork

This year's Irish Examiner Food Festival kicks off in Cork this afternoon.

Fifteen of Cork's best restaurants will be dishing out free samples. There will be demonstrations from some of the country's top chefs too, including from Rachel and Darina Allen and Paolo Tullio.

The event runs from today until Sunday at Fitzgerald's Park.

As well as the food stalls, there will be musical entertainment and a kids zone.

Organiser Philip Ryan told Cork's Red FM they are hoping to attract more than 10,000 visitors.
