Shortall hopes new alcohol bill will be drafted by September

The Cabinet is to consider a range of measures to tackle alcohol abuse at its weekly meeting tomorrow.

Labour's Junior Health Minister Roisín Shortall says she expects the proposals - covering minimum pricing, advertising restrictions and alcohol sponsorship - will be accepted.
