Man sentenced to life for murdering wife's cousin

A 31-year-old man has been jailed for life for murdering the man he suspected of having an affair with his wife.

A 31-year-old man has today been jailed for life for murdering the man he suspected of having an affair with his wife.

Shahzad Hussain, with an address at Woodland Avenue, Mosney, Co Meath was also given a seven-year sentence for seriously injuring his wife Rashida Bibi Haider on the same occasion in Co Louth.

The man he fatally stabbed on January 7 last year was his wife's cousin.
