Youth charged in connection with Waterford murder

A 17-year-old youth is due in court in Waterford this morning in connection with the murder of a man in the city two months ago.

The body of 22-year-old Martin Brophy was found at a vacant building on New Gate Street on May 21.

A post mortem revealed he had been assaulted.

The 17-year-old has been charged in connection with the killing and is due before Waterford District Court in the coming hours.
