Two held over suspected pipe bomb discovery

Gardaí are questioning two men after a suspected pipe bomb was discovered on the outskirts of Ennis, Co Clare.

The two were detained after officers on a routine patrol stopped a car acting suspiciously close to one the M18 motorway exit near Barefield at around 1am.
