Full Ulster Bank service may be restored next week

Ulster Bank is warning that it may be the start of next week before a full service is restored.

Its parent company, the RBS Group, has said the backlog in updating account balances for its British customers was cleared overnight.

In a statement, RBS said Ulster Bank customers continue to experience "unacceptable delays", and that the full focus is now on updating the accounts of Irish customers.

The bank said it remains "grateful" for customers' patience.
