The Environment Minister Phil Hogan has defended his trip to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil saying reports that his officials were staying in an €800 hotel were rubbish.

The Environment Minister Phil Hogan has defended his trip to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil saying reports that his officials were staying in an €800 hotel were rubbish.

Hogan has been attending the International Earth Summit, where he signed education and research agreements with state agencies which could be worth up to €25m.
