Quarter of food manufacturers show 'significant risk of cross-contamination by allergens'

The food safety watchdog has today warned manufacturers to be more careful when it comes to allergens in food.

An audit of 12 businesses found management and controls of some substances was not stringent enough to protect those who might have a reaction to them.
