Ryan: Bank guarantee was discussed by phone

A former Government Minister involved in the bank guarantee has said the issue was dealt with by telephone.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny questioned in the Dáil yesterday whether a file describing the events of the night the guarantee was sanctioned in 2008 may have been "shredded", as there did not appear to be any paperwork in the Department of the Taoiseach.
