It looks likely that the people of Kerry have voted to ratify the EU Fiscal Treaty.

The count for votes cast in the Kerry North West Limerick constituency is being held in the KDYS centre in Denny Street in Tralee.

Eighty-three out of 142 boxes there have been opened with tallies showing the yes vote is at 60% and the No vote is at 40%.

A 44% turnout is being reported and a result is expected at 1pm.

The Kerry South referendum count is taking place in the Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre.

The yes vote in Kerry South seems to be leading the way so far this morning, with 60% voting yes and 40% voting no at this stage.

So far this morning, 142 out of 147 boxes have been opened in Killarney.

It appears that the number of spoilt votes in Kerry South is low.
